The phone is the way it should be. It works 99% of the time and the mistakes are probably made by me. Scrolling is still a little sketchy but everything works great.

the refresh is awesome!!!!! it has touch callibration and everything.  i have a story...
i called my verizon store and asked if they had the new glyde. the guy thought i was retarded when i asked cus they knew nothing about it.  it was taking me 20 min to send 1 txt so i was going to get a new phone until the refresh came in.  so i went into the store and when they gave me a new phone it was the refresh. the people had no idea they had the new phone.  i guess samsung wasnt kidding when they said they were gonna sneak a whole new glyde in hahah

So I just got the "refresh" glyde today! I've had the glyde since November 2008 and it had SW v25? I forgot the actual letter in front of the 25.  Reason I got the new phone was my phone started to get buggy this pasty month and half.

Anyways...wanted to get everyone's opinion about the new interface since its different for BI29 and  BK14.

The following is my initial thoughts about BK14.
Pros
-more responsive touch screen (no longer seems to be capacitor based as it responds to actual pressure opposed to electric like the older version)
-others can use the phone besides me (haha)
-hopefully fixes some of buggy touch screen issues (still TBD for long term testing)
-The A-Z slider for the contacts is a nice touch and makes it easy to quickly scroll through contacts...BUT..(see cons below)

Cons
-I personally liked the black layout instead of the new white
-Icons don't look as sharp, but that might be because they are on a white background
-Alarms no longer has a reminder feature.
-You can't lock contacts so you could potentially accidentally erase a contact (how did this feature go away?)
-regular/traditional scrolling seems a bit more difficult in the contact list (not using the A-Z slider that is)

These are just some of my initial thoughts. I am sure I'll have more later as I play around with the phone.     

How do you go about getting the new "refresh"? Do you have to be the primary account holder?

I just got the refresh and its amazing.

I've had the glyde since last june. I remember  getting a text from verizon telling me about the update a few MONTHS ago. I went down to the verizon store and was scared off by lines with 3 hour waits. so i kept putting it off until i decided not to get the update. my phone was working fine so i didnt think much of it.

but the touch screen had been bugging me for about the past month or so. sometimes it worked perfectly fine, other times, it would take me a half hour to do anything until i gave up out of frustration. so today, i finally go down to the verizon store for the update. turns out i was two versions behind.

i went in to get the update, and the update went well, but my touch screen was still acting up, so they just gave the refresh. The phone is working perfectly now and i couldnt be happier.

I just recently purchased the glyde. I never had the previous versions. I read all the reviews I could find and most of them had bad reviews/comments. At the moment the phone never crashed or freeze on me.
